The surrounding countryside is a joy for those interested in wild-life.
There are a variety of birds and animals which can be seen from the cottage,
with kites soaring over and otters using the river. RSPB Ynys-Hir and the Dyfi
Osprey Project are near by.
There are a variety of walks locally and the area is very popular for
mountain-biking with lots of new trails opened up in the Dyfi-forest.
The Wales Coastal Path is connected
around the whole coast and passes within 1 mile of the cottage
